McLaren Health Care is looking for a Program Manager, join the Clinical Engineering Team.


Supervises and manages daily maintenance and repair activities of both internal CE staff and external vendor service providers. Implements cost of service reduction strategies related to technology ownership at assigned McLaren Healthcare Corporation sites. Represents the Clinical Engineering department at attendance at hospital safety committee meetings, and may participate in planning meetings related to purchase, installation and user training on new equipment acquisitions. Implements CE departmental policies and procedures to ensure the hospital’s ongoing compliance with JCAHO, State and Federal regulations. Identifies and implements programs related to expansion of technical services, both internally and externally.


  • Minimum of an Associates Degree (or equivalent) in biomedical, electronics or other technical discipline.
  • Ten or more years of experience in a biomedical electronics position in a health care system, with at least five years experience in administrative capacity involved specifically with supervision of technical staff.
  • Must have excellent communications and presentation skills, personal computer and analytical skills.
  • Must work effectively and with decorum at all levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge base on equipment program management related standards, such as JCAHO environment of care standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge base on clinical equipment preventive maintenance, quality assurance and performance measurement testing procedures, to include equipment used in surgery, cardiology, intensive care, diagnosis, imaging, data management and general patient care.
