Williams International is a privately-owned company that develops and manufactures jet engines for both military and commercial aircraft applications. We have multiple open Rotation Engineer positions at our Pontiac, Michigan location.
The engineer will be responsible for the design of electronic assemblies for aerospace and military applications such as engine controls, motor controls, power converters, sensors, and actuators. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high tech, cutting edge products and have a high degree of ownership of your designs.
The engineer will be responsible for creating electrical schematics, selecting electrical components, performing derating analysis and worst case circuit analysis, circuit board layout, and will perform testing of their designs. The engineer will also work with other engineers on the mechanical and thermal design of the electronic assemblies.
Recent college graduates that enter Williams International’s Rotational Engineering Program can expect to spend approximately six months’ time in each of two to three different engineering areas (depending upon previous coursework/experience). The rotation programs are coordinated with each individual engineer and typically include component design/analysis and engine development testing. At the end of the rotations, the engineer is placed into a regular engineering assignment. These assignments are coordinated with the rotation engineer and typically intended to meet both the corporation’s and the individual’s needs.
The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and an interest in aerospace and gas turbine engine design and development. The position requires zero to one year of experience. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred. In addition, one to two years of summer intern or co-op experience in an engineering environment is desirable. Previous exposure to electrical design software such as Altium Designer is a plus. Excellent writing skills are required. Travel may be involved that will include visits to different customer locations. U.S. Citizenship Status is required for all openings.
Williams International is committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, and protected veteran status.
