The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design of electronic assemblies for aerospace and military applications such as engine controls, motor controls, power converters, sensors, and actuators. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high tech, cutting edge products and have a high degree of ownership of your designs.
The individual will be responsible for defining requirements, performing trade studies to determine the best system architecture, creating electrical schematics, selecting electrical components, performing derating analysis and worst case circuit analysis, and assisting with circuit board layout. The individual will also work with other engineers on the mechanical and thermal design of the electronic assemblies. Knowledge of EMI/EMC design considerations and design for high reliability / harsh environment applications is required. The engineer will support testing of electronic assemblies and should be knowledgeable of MIL-STD-461 and RTCA DO-160 test procedures as well and HALT/HASS test methodology.
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required with 5-8 years of experience with electronic devices. The candidate must be able to work independently and be able to manage multiple projects. Experience with Altium Designer (or an equivalent software) for creation of electrical schematics and circuit board layouts is required. Experience with SPICE based circuit analysis is required.
