Description Williams International is a privately-owned company that develops and manufactures jet engines for both military and commercial aircraft applications. We have multiple open Rotation Engineer positions in the Controls / Software area at our Pontiac, Michigan location.

Recent college graduates that enter Williams International’s Controls / Software Rotational Engineering Program can expect to spend approximately six months’ time in each of two to three different engineering areas (depending upon previous coursework/experience). The rotation programs are coordinated with each individual engineer and typically include engine control design/test/certification, software design/test/certification, complex electronic hardware (embedded systems) design/test/certification, and engine/component development test support. At the end of the rotations, the engineer is placed into a regular engineering assignment. These assignments are coordinated with the rotation engineer and typically intended to meet both the corporation’s and the individual’s needs.
Requirements The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Software Engineering and an interest in engine control or software design and development. Coursework should be relevant to the fields of computer programming, controls design, and/or electrical systems. The position requires zero to one year of experience. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred. In addition, one to two years of summer intern or co-op experience in an engineering environment is desirable. Previous exposure to software development using C is a plus. Excellent writing skills are required. Travel may be involved that will include visits to different customer locations. U.S. Citizenship Status is required for all openings.
