Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Controls (Fuel System) Engineer to join our team in Walled Lake, MI.
The Lead Controls Engineer will design fuel valves, fuel pumps and control components for turbine engines. The qualified candidate will develop certification documentation (plans, test reports, and certification reports). Additionally in this position the Lead Engineer will design, test, and analyze data for fuel control components at a rig level. This position supports production and aftermarket of fuel controls and related components.
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years of related experience in the design, manufacture, development, testing and certification of engine fuel controls (pumps, fuel control valves, solenoids and stepper motors, and fuel filtration). Must have design experience using tools such as Matlab/Simulink and other related tools for modeling fuel control systems. Experience with FAA certification of these types of components is desirable. Knowledge of 3D CAD systems is desired.
