CNC Machining Co-Op
Williams International is a privately-owned company that develops and manufactures jet engines for both military and commercial aircraft applications. Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a MAT2 Machining Trainee to join our team in Pontiac, MI.
The MAT2 Machining Trainee program lasts three years and is a combination of on-the-job training at our facility in Walled Lake along with school work at one of the colleges in the area (Henry Ford Community College). Trainees apply for admission at one of the participating colleges and must be successfully interviewed by Williams International.
The MAT2 Machining Trainee program includes college tuition paid by the employer leading to an associate’s degree from one of the participating colleges. It also includes paid on-the-job training, a stipend, and a full-time job upon successful completion of the program.
High School Diploma or GED
Good basic math and computer skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions are also required Experience in areas requiring mechanical aptitude is desired
Lathe, mill or fabrication experience is a plus
U.S. citizenship status is required
