Williams International is a privately-owned company that develops and manufactures jet engines for both military and commercial aircraft applications. Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician to join our team.
The Electronics Technician will calibrate various instrumentation equipment throughout the test and manufacturing facilities including pressure gauges, transducers, voltages and current meters, temperature readouts, vibration amplifiers, accelerometers and data acquisition systems.
Additionally, the Electronics Technician will:
• Build instrumentation and interconnect
• Assemble/build test cables and engine harnesses
• Build electronic circuits and assemblies per engineering schematics
• Build electronics subassemblies per planning
• Perform Hypot/Bonding and continuity test on numerous engine models
• Make modifications as directed to existing electrical equipment and fixtures
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation/electronic anomalies
• Other Tasks as required
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree with course work in electrical/electronic technology is desired. Work requires job knowledge and skills gained with a minimum of three to five years of experience in electronic systems. This includes operation of basic electronic test equipment and calibration standards. Must have an aptitude for working with hand tools, both electric and battery operated, as well as soldering, irons, and soldering equipment. AutoCAD or Pro-e software experience is a plus.
Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
U.S. citizenship or permanent resident alien status is required.
