The qualified candidate will prepare and package subassemblies or finished engines to ship to customers, vendors or other corporate locations, both nationally and internationally. This position is responsible for receiving and signing in incoming freight as well as packaging and shipping outgoing materials. Additionally, this position is responsible for monitoring shipping and packaging supplies. The Warehouser is required to drive the company vehicle for pickups and deliveries, as needed.
The qualified candidate will have a high school degree or equivalent plus 2-3 years prior related work experience in inventory or warehousing. SAP experience is a plus. Some prior experience and a basic understanding of international shipping requirements is preferred. Knowledge of shipping instructions and standard practices for commercial packaging is required. Also, experience processing shipment labels via FedEx and UPS is a must. The candidate must be able to obtain an explosive handling permit, chauffeur’s license and HiLo license. The Warehouser must have basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office products, particularly Excel. Also, basic math skills are required. The candidate must be able capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum). Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy.
