Description Kimley-Horn is one of the nation's most comprehensive and best respected design and engineering firms with over 100 Landscape Architects nationwide. We are searching for a landscape architect for our Miami, FL office. This position will support our growing Landscape Architecture and Land Planning practice by providing site planning, entitlements, urban and landscape design, graphic exhibits, technical drawings and specifications, and construction observation. Project experiences will be diverse, as we provide services to both the public and private sectors.
Position Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
• Registered Landscape Architect
• 4+ years of relevant work experience with a landscape architectural firm or equivalent
• Highly organized with experience in working with multi-disciplinary design teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, experience with LandFX and Civil3D preferred
• Proficiency with graphic software programs, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, & Illustrator), SketchUp, and GIS/Arcview
• Experience with freehand illustrations and hand rendering concept sketch plans
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to produce high quality work and meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of project types
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Some travel may be required (approximately 10%), including support to KHA offices in other locations.
