Description Kimley-Horn is looking for an Accounting Intern to join our corporate business and accounting group in our Raleigh office. This internship will start in May and will be full-time through the summer. The position will continue full-time or part-time (depending on the selected candidate's schedule) in the fall. With this in mind, applicants must be local to the Raleigh Downtown office and available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Office hours are 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30am - 11:30am on Friday; the ideal schedule for fall semester is 7:30am - 5:30pm Mondays and Wednesdays, and 7:30am - 11:30am Fridays.

The primary job responsibilities are accounts payable and expense review, ensuring proper coding and supporting documentation prior to payment; and reviewing Sales and Use tax. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: general ledger responsibilities, such as monthly account reconciliations and analysis; and compiling and analyzing reports utilizing Excel.

College sophomores, juniors or seniors with an interest in accounting, business or finance are encouraged to apply.
Position Requirements •Must be in the process of completing an AA, BS or MS degree in accounting or a relevant field
•Working knowledge and experience with the MS Office package, including Excel and Outlook
•Strong work ethic, good communication skills, high attention to detail and customer service oriented
