Title Civil Engineer Project Manager

Description Our Sarasota, FL office is seeking a highly qualified professional Civil Engineer to work on Land Development engineering projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing projects, developing project scope and budgets, serving as the client contact, directing the civil site design and coordinating work with other staff and design team members. Candidates should have experience with site civil design and permitting and applicable software applications including hydrology modeling program, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Projects will include, but are not limited to, site design for commercial, retail, multi-family, healthcare and mixed-use projects. In addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for Land Disturbance and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specifications.

The ideal candidate will be a P.E. or seeking a P.E. with 4 years of relevant land development engineering experience.
Position Requirements - BS degree in Civil Engineering
- Pursuing registration of P.E. in the State of Florida or have obtained it
- 4+ years of relevant land development engineering experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously

Min. Education Level Bachelor's Degree
Required Major Civil Engineering
Professional Registration P.E. - Professional Engineer
Desired Qualifications -High level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with detail site layout and grading; drainage and stormwater management design; utility design; and erosion and sediment control design
- Experience with StormCAD, Hydroflow, ICPR and other industry accepted software and development of hydrology studies
- Experience with codes and regulations, interpreting plans, designing stormwater facilities, site grading and permitting for land disturbance
- Erosion and Sediment Control Level II Design Certification
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Potential/desire to lead a practice and manage clients and a team
