Department: Griffin Faculty Practice Plan, Inc.
Location: Shelton, CT

Reports To: Physician & Practice Manager

Griffin Faculty Physicians seeks a receptionist to perform various administrative functions in a busy primary care office.

Job Responsibilities:
• Greets patients and other visitors to the office.
• Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls.
• Schedules patient appointments.
• Provides timely check-in and check-out for patients, updates patient registration information as needed, and collects co-pays accurately.
• Contacts insurance carriers to obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Provides general clerical support for the office, open and sort mail, and maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Other duties as assigned


Requirements Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical office workflow.
• Experience working with electronic health records strongly preferred.
• Must possess strong customer service skills and must be able to multi-task.
