Description Position Summary
Responsible for the activities of personnel in performing internal operations for the Adventist Medical Group division of the MFA. This position will be required to travel to multiple sites within the group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.


 Daily operations of all departments within AMG that are partnered with the MFA.
 Identify operations issues and resolve in a timely manner.
 Run and analyze reports. Provide recommendations for improvement engaging in the continuous improvement process.
 Process payroll; keep track of leave records for all divisions; track down missing hours; handle calls for missed pay or error in pay. Keep track of all new employees to make sure they are paid on time.
 Process timesheets when needed. Maintain employee files. Process H/R paperwork - hire forms; change in status forms; recruitment paperwork; paperwork to establish new position; job descriptions, etc.
 Process paperwork for setting up new cost centers. Code and process all invoices and travel reimbursements; track physician spending; process payment request to be paid by University Accounts Payable; process paperwork for repayment to physicians for recruitment expense.
 Assist with budgets; create spreadsheets when needed; have charges or monies moved if applied to incorrect fund.
 Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
 Proactively engage with physicians and staff in identifying standardization and process improvement opportunities and implement them under supervision of PGA.
 Maintain compliance with health care rules, regulations, and guidelines.
 Maintain physician and staff schedules.
 Monitoring and tracking of operational reports such as Meaningful Use report, Tasking report, etc. Identify outliers and effectively address those.
 Maintain a positive relationship with physicians, managers and staff within AMG/MFA.
 Be a role model for effective communication and team building.
 Innovative development of business and clinical practice models.
 Advancement of administrative and operational infrastructure to support clinicians, allied health, support staff and patients.
 Creative design of practical business management tools to manage and balance access, quality and cost of delivering health services.

 Must have ability to identify and resolve daily operational issues

Requirements Qualifications

Education Bachelor's degree required or a master’s degree in health administration preferred.

Experience At least 5 years’ experience in operations management. Oversight and management of 35+ staff and physicians a plus.

Competencies Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. Must be able to follow and understand instructions, and react favorably in all work situations. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels within and outside the Medical Faculty Associates (MFA). Must be able to do math calculations and data entry.
