Role and Responsibility:

§  Responsible for leading and providing guidance/oversight of HR Business Partners in providing comprehensive, proactive, strategic HR services including employee relations, policy development, documentation and implementation, performance management, on-boarding and orientation, HR metrics and legal compliance.

§  Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems

§  Collaborate with client groups to learn the business, understand the issues facing management teams and employees and develop action plans to address those issues

§  Develop, recommend, and implement HR policies and procedures; assist with the preparation and maintenance of the employee and manager handbooks containing policies and procedures

§  In collaboration with CSU, develop and offer training for staff and management on policies and procedures

§  Mentor HR staff by modeling the behavior of anticipating and diffusing employee relations issues by proactively investigating and addressing all disputes in a timely manner, providing satisfactory resolutions and documenting appropriately

§  Identify training needs as an outcome of dispute resolution; respond as needed

§  Collaborate with managers and Talent Management team to create a workforce plan that is responsive to the needs of the business by attracting the best talent in a timely way using cost effective recruitment methods

§  Participate in the design and oversight of CareSource company-wide processes implemented by Human Resources and CSU, such as performance reviews, merit and bonus determination, job descriptions and evaluations, compensation studies, organization structure review and design, succession planning, benefits and rewards & recognition programs

§  Coordinate and/or conduct exit interviews to ensure consistency and to analyze and respond to trends in departures

§  Ensure that CareSource is 100% compliant with federal and state employment law in all of its practices

Education / Experience:

§  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in human resources or management or equivalent years of relevant work experience required

§  Master’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant experience preferred

§  Ten plus years of Human Resources leadership experience managing employee relations, Human Resources strategy, operations

Required Competencies / Knowledge / Skills:

§  Proficient in Microsoft Office including Work, Excel, PowerPoint

§  Working knowledge of Ultimate Software applications preferred

§  Personal and organizational self-awareness

§  Ability to maintain emotional self-control in difficult circumstances

§  Written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

§  Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills

§  Ability to educate/train staff and management in strategic Human Resources and employee relations issues as well as in all process methodologies required by staff and management

§  Strong customer service orientation

§  Ability to maintain confidentiality

§  Travel may be required up to 15%

Licensure / Certification:

§  PHR certification desired, prefer SPHR
