Description

Role and Responsibility:

§   Conduct in-depth analysis of member utilization and provider practice patterns, examination of complex data relationships, and use of descriptive statistical techniques to measure impact of various actions/results on the Care4U model and population

§   Identify trends and patterns using standard company processes, reports, tools and databases. as well as leveraging other processes and data sources

§   Conduct outcome analyses to determine impact and effectiveness of corporate and market Care4U initiatives

§   Assist in gathering requirements from various internal business customers to understand specific Care4U analytical needs

§   Assist in development of regional plans, including population definitions, outcome measurements, and process measurements of interventions

§   Monitoring of, and providing assistance with exploration of anomalies related to trends associated with the Care4U program across the corporate enterprise and in respect to how it performs within markets

§   Generate graphics that effectively describe, explore and summarize analyses for communication to appropriate parties

§   Assist in the analysis process to determine best course of action

§   Assist in the review of reports and data for pattern identification, special cause variation identification, trend analysis, or other techniques that will reveal intelligence for identification of any associative or causal relationships and provide management level summaries that explain key findings

§   Collaborate with CfA to assist in the use of statistical techniques to measure impact of various actions/studies, internal and external; develop sampling and hypothesis testing to help determine outcomes in the Care4U population

Requirements

Education / Experience:

§   Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required

§   Master’s Degree (e.g., public health, mathematics, statistics, experimental psychology, epidemiology, health economics, nursing) preferred

§   Minimum of three (3) years of experience in data analysis and/or analytic programming is required

§   Healthcare delivery and/or payer experience preferred

Required Competencies / Knowledge / Skills:

§   Analytic skills for solving problems

§   Word, Excel, and/or Access skills; SQL and/or SAS experience preferred

§   Graphic development/presentation skills

§   Working knowledge of descriptive statistical application and techniques

§   Critical listening, thinking skills, and verbal and written communication skills

§   Problem solving skills

§   Ability to work independently and within a team environment

§   Knowledge of managed care and health care data coding preferred
