Description To plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the plant operations maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, H.V.A.C., mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition. The Director of Plant Operations shall be accountable to the COO for planning and maintaining an effective organization, for administering labor and material controls, for training of maintenance personnel in safety and for effective management practices.
Requirements Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Healthcare or related field.
Minimum Work Experience: Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in Facilities Management and Engineering.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Certified Healthcare Engineer (CHE) or Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) desired.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Management Skills
•Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.
•Management experience in hospital/health care environment.

Administrative Skills
•Computer Skills: Input data into computer programs
•Communication Skills: Answer telephones, compose letters, coordinate events, coordinate meetings, interview others, schedule appointments
•General Office Skills: Balance figures, compile statistics, develop office procedures, establish filing systems, maintain filing systems, maintain logs, proofread documents, research information
