Description |
The AmSty IT SAP Supply Chain/Operations Manager is responsible for leading and architecting SAP SD/MM solutions (including business intelligence) across Order Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Operations (and the associated master data) with support
from our technical and functional SAP staff. This individual will co-lead Amsty’s migration to S/4 HANA. The individual will also have oversight for support functions and is responsible for ensuring that user needs are fully met, within the confines of the
available budget.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and Coach team of functional and technical consultants to deliver IT solutions that efficiently meet business needs; conform to IT strategy and cost constraints; and are delivered in accordance with committed timelines
- Architect new IT solutions to help improve the efficiency of our Finance function, whether directly or indirectly associated with SAP
- Lead migration journey from ECC6/Suite on HANA to SAP S/4 HANA – including conversions, fit-gap analysis, test management, training and MOC functions • Lead application support (break-fix, issues, escalations) for SD/MM and PI/XI/EDI functions, including
training for end users on new functionality
- Manage relationships – work with business functions to define business requirements; provide clear work priorities to SAP Support Consultants; provide leadership to ensure that work is delivered in accordance with criticality and business need dates; and
present work products to customers to support successful implementation
- Prioritize SAP requests for SD/MM functions, within available budget and provide updates to business users as to delivery status and completion date
- Create techno-functional specifications for business intelligence requests (HANA reporting) that specify component data sources and data relationships required to most efficiently meet business intelligence deliverables
- Collaborate with customers, SAP Consultants (FICO, BI); interfaced systems (Vertex, CLM Solution, Meridium, etc.) and other IT staff functions to deliver IT solutions
- Leverage personal knowledge of ABAP – (creating reports, data dictionary knowledge, user exits, BADI implementations, BAPI, ABAP Objects, SAPscripts, SIC’s, etc.) to efficiently/effectively build smart designs and troubleshoot issues
- Define/lead end-to-end test processes to discover errors and detect issues before presenting functionality to users, including development of test automation capabilities
- Approve IT ad-hoc firefighter access and role requests • Manage system upgrades and disaster recovery testing to yield system and technical improvements, while minimizing disruption to business functions
- Create management presentations to encapsulate business needs, recommended paths forward and summary of accomplishments
- Evaluate and support implementation and maintenance of new purchased software solutions
- Collaborate/Participate in product design work-groups

Requirements |
- 4-year college degree, preferably in engineering, computer science or finance; advanced degree in Finance (or MBA) a plus
- 8-10 years plus of experience in SAP SD/MM modules
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience architecting new SAP FI/CO solutions to meet business requirements
- Previous experience with minimum of 2 full SAP lifecycle implementations
- Experience with SAP Business Objects or Business Warehouse
- Integration experience between SAP and Vertex, PI/XI to LTM/LTR and LTO partners and e-Invoice solutions is a plus
- Requires knowledge of SAP ABAP Query as well as EDI/ALE/IDOCs and workflow
- Previous IT supplier (contract) management experience is a plus
- Experience with SAP Transport Release Management and Change Management processes
- Experience with SAP Business Objects or Business Warehouse is highly desired
- Experience with SAP GRC, IDM, Basis and Security is desired
- Product Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and/or Simple Finance is highly desired
- Experience in the chemicals or oil and gas industry is a bonus
- Bi-lingual (English PLUS Spanish speaking & reading) is a plus
